Exceptional place

Breakfast was exceptional, staff extremely friendly.

The road leading to the hotel is in a quite bad condition so we got stuck in the mud. We had 2 wheel drive but managed to get out of the mud somehow. Would be nice if the road could be paved in some kind of way.

Very Good

It was a unique experience having a room in the middle of the rain forest. The team was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

It's a catch 22 as the rooms where in the middle of the rain forest, but with this a sort of isolated location comes with it. The distance ls between restaurant and rooms are that long that people tend to take the car. Also getting to the hotel from the main road is quite an advanture. 4 wheel drive and rather bigger SUV is a must!

Magical, enchanting and pure paradise.

This property is simple spectacular. The love and care these owners have is simply remarkable. It’s is a completely green hotel that only has 5 villas. All with outdoor showers. Amazing view of the forest from your room. A spa, pool, restaurant and a paradise for those wanting to disconnect and take in nature. The team members are so caring and accommodating. This hotel is going to be in demands soon it is that special. Glad we got to stay here before it’s chosen as one of the coolest places to stay in Costa Rica.

There isn’t one thing I can find wrong about this place. However, if at anytime you want to want to watch TV, your phone will have to do.

Very Good

Nice overall. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was fantastic.

A lot less privacy than we were lead to believe from the pictures. We could see/be seen from those parking while lying on the bed without any way of blocking visibility from the outside. The bathroom had very little vegetation to block or even give sense of privacy for a public foot path that passed no more than 10ft from the toilet(no joke). We felt like we were in a petri dish for staff/other guests to just look in upon.

Amazing boutique experience, I’m counting down the days until I can go back!

Staying at Ecolirios was the most amazing experience. The hotel is small enough that wherever we went the staff would greet us by name and they were the most accommodating and helpful staff I have ever experienced, any request was immediately fulfilled, Manrique would text us to keep us updated on everything and ask if there was anything else the staff could do to make our stay better. We did some of the tours and I’m positive you could not get better experiences anywhere in the country. The horseback riding tour took us to a hidden natural swimming pool where rappelling was offered, it didn’t feel like tourism but rather like a family friend showing off their little part of the country, there was not another tourist to be seen. We also had spa services and I will never forget them, the scrub was amazing and there is no better place to get a massage than in the middle of the rainforest in an open air spa overlooking a waterfall. We didn’t use the sauna but the offering of alternating between the natural swimming pools and the sauna looked enticing. Another thing that was unique and amazing, since all the rooms are their own freestanding cabins, the bathrooms are oriented to look out over private rainforest and the showers are open air, it was maybe the best shower of my life. Overall I’m counting down the days until I can go back!

Beautiful property with great service

Beautiful hotel, surroundings left us speechless so nice being in the middle of natural beauty. We got engaged in la Fortuna a few days previously and the hotel went out of there way to decorate the room as a surprise. We also really enjoyed the couples massage. This was a wonderful end to our very special trip in Costa Rica

Rooms are not bug free due to the slits in the doors. This was expected but we did get some surprises in our clothes/suitcases etc. a mosquito net round the bed would be a good addition to help with relaxing sleep

Great choice for some peace and unplugging.

Amazing view from the Mountain View room. Superb staff, great breakfast and Jose the bar tender makes the best pina coladas! Very serene.

Room was a bit smaller than we were expecting and did not have air conditioning which we found challenging during the day. I understand it's an ecolodge but it was really hot. Bedroom also had ants on our bed all the nights we were there and we had to spray each time. Road leading to the hotel is terrible and needs some investment but that goes for most of Costa Rica's side roads.

Beautiful

The bed was super comfortable and the shower was great! Our room was beautiful with the glass walls. The view was spectacular. The staff was so friendly especially Dennis, our horseback tour guide.

There was gaps in the glass walls in which some bugs were able to get into our room

It’s the best place in Costa Rica for a relaxing experience in the natural surroundings of the jungle.

The most stunning stay. Immersed in the Costa Rican Jungle you are captivated by its beauty, silence and luxury. The rooms are beautiful, everything has the highest of standards.

As a solo traveller I wanted to walk to the waterfall. However with little guidance and navigation available that was hard.

This is definitely a 10 star resort!! The staff is an A++++ The food … AMAZING!!!!!!!

The property was situated in a great location. The design of the villas and entire compound was just amazing! I’ve stayed on the Pacific side of CR, but the Caribbean is much peaceful. The local town just down the road is great to do your shopping or just absorb the culture. It’s not touristy like the Pacific side. I’ve been to some cool destinations with a great staff, but the staff here including the owner are just brilliant. They really know how to give their guests a welcoming hand of their country which you can feel the minute we got picked up at the airport! Gracias a todos!!!

I honestly can say that there is not one thing I didn’t like about the property. If you want a rainforest adventure and tranquility, then this is the place.

Disconnect and relax in Ecolirios

The boutique hotel is perfect to disconnect. In the middle of nowhere away from tourists and attractions one finds this nice place. The apartments are beautiful. Toni and Manuel were perfect.

I felt a bit observed in the bathroom, especially in the nights as the walking way to the other apartment was very close and not completely covered with plants yet. There is not much to do around. The hotel offers activities and food, as there are no alternatives around one has to stick to those. But to disconnect for some days is perfect.

A place to get rest and connect to nature!

I’ve spent 2 days at Ecolirius and was an amazing experience to chill out. Staff was awesome, food is perfect and nothing could be even better than sleep admiring the nature. The wall/glass is breathtaking! No way you get up in a bad mood when you have that view! Super reccomend for a relax experience.
